Chad Buehrer

Chad grew up in Northwest Ohio, and although he never officially raced BMX as a kid it didn't stop him from changing his Huffy Desperado with the sick banana seat into a hybrid BMX Racing machine! As a kid you would often find Chad making ramps out of whatever wood they had lying around at the house and seeing how much air and distance he could get, often measuring his progress with a nearby twig from a tree.

Many years later, Chad found himself with 3 kids of his own (2 girls and a boy) and his youngest, the son, was born to shred. From the moment he started moving around on his own, Landon was looking for something with wheels he could ride. At 15 months old, Dad and Mom bought him a balance bike and before he was 2 he was done with the balance bike and started shredding around on 2 wheels and pedals.

At the age of 4, Landon told his dad he wanted to race bicycles. Little did they know that single moment would change their lives forever! After looking online and finding COBRA BMX, Landon and dad were off to try it out...as soon as that first gate dropped Landon was hooked. Since then the other 2 kids also started racing. Chad and his family have been living their best BMX life ever since and creating amazing memories together that will last a lifetime.

Chad has now been operating a BMX program since 2019 and is currently the Track Operator at Westerville BMX as well as a USA BMX Certified Coach. He is dedicated to helping others get the same opportunity he and his family received many years ago, in the hopes that they too, will look back and realize the day they first raced BMX was the moment that changed their lives forever too!
